Waddlers - 2 years old
Our toddler program allows our toddlers to feel safe and protected, while encouraging them to develop in all areas (cognitive, social, emotional, language, physical, and self help). We enable each child to develop in line with their individual ability, using developmentally age-appropriate practices. Our program promotes positive interaction between the teacher and toddler. As toddlers begin to turn words into phrases, self expression and social skills blossom.
Appropriate activities foster the growth of each toddler's language development, social awareness, and positive problem solving. Our toddlers are given opportunities to build their fine and gross motor skills through exploration of the environment. Self help skills such as feeding, potty training, dressing, independence and self-confidence are fostered. We offer activities for toddlers to explore their world through art, music and creative movement in a challenging and stimulating environment.
Preschool (3 years old)
Our 3-year-old program emphasizes socialization and discovery. Our teaching staff uses their knowledge of the children's interests, strengths, and needs to create activities and experiences that enhance all areas of development. Creativity and experimentation are encouraged through a wide variety of hands-on activities utilizing diverse age-appropriate materials. Children have the opportunity to make new friends and enjoy indoor and outdoor group activities. Our daily routine creates a comfortable, predictable environment that fosters understanding of early learning concepts and prepares our students for the next phase in learning.
Preschool: 4 years old
The 4-year-old program emphasizes kindergarten readiness and exploration. This program is designed to expand on the skills established in our 3-year-old program, including socialization, independence, and group participation, and to prepare our students for future elementary experiences. Our engaging educational atmosphere is rich with discovery and possibility. Our goal is to encourage and challenge our students to become independent, enthusiastic learners. We use a variety of instructional methods and developmentally appropriate activities to meet the varying cognitive, social, physical, and emotional needs of each individual child. To help prepare our students for upcoming kindergarten experiences, language and literacy activities further emphasize letter and sound identification, and sight words are introduced to encourage self expression and promote reading readiness. Students learn about patterns, following multi-step directions, and left-to-right literacy progression. Students learn their age and birthday, along with how to identify and write their first and last names. Quantitive experiences include learning to count from 50 and identifying numbers 1 to 20.
School Age (Before-After)
Our developmentally appropriate school-age program is designed to meet the social, physical, cognitive, and academic needs of children in kindergarten through the age of 12. We offer a variety of after-school activities each day, including outdoor activities, arts and crafts, snack time, and homework assistance, if needed. Our goal is to provide your family with quality family time in the evenings by providing your child with these opportunities after school.
We are committed to supporting your child's academic endeavors. We are willing to work with you and your child's classroom teacher to develop and follow through with plans that support his/her individual needs. A communication system can be implemented to support clarification of homework assignments, if needed.
